But I would have bid 5D over 4S, not 5H to let partner into the secret a round earlier.

(I'm not sure about North's ♠/♣)
I did rebid 5♥ because I preferred to rebid the 7-card over the Bidding the 5-card.
I wasn't happy with it when 5♠ came back to me because I had not said anything about my ♦.
I bid 6♦ because I thought that maybe 5♠ or 6♦/6♥ could make.
RHO had ♦KJxx and LHO had ♥Jxx and 6♥ did go -2 while 5♠ would also be -1.

4NT and 5♦ should distinguish between equal and 2 card discrepancy with 1 card you would have to pick 1.

I think 4NT is the bid in my style.
