Playing a IMP game with other good players. What do you expect partner to have? Do you want to try 3NT? How about if you are vulnerable? Do you consider pushing for 5?

Partner is just competing, I would pass. Yes I agree with their bidding.

This decision (pass), has farther reaching ramifications. We don't want partner to remember this hand ---if you bid again---and be hesitant to compete the next time.

Pard should still have bid 3D on the "spoiler" hand, even with one less diamond.

no quibbles with either pass or 3NT at these colors. It would be tougher to pass if you were V ss the reward pard of the risk/reward equation went up.

I would bid 3N, but some form of good-bad helps distinguish between a real raise to 3 and a hand that is merely competing.

It looks like a heart lead lets me run off with 9, but a spade or a club + spade shift is a problem.

What would have prds 3been in u sys? IMO u prd is just competing aka u king of just bites the dust, i would pass.
What would u have done on the next round btw. if opps keeps bidding H :rolleyes:
