IMPs, opponents are internationalists.

West leads the 8 against six hearts.

What's your line?

I don't work for BBO and any advice is based on my BBO experience over the decades

With an utter lack of imagination, I think I'll win the spade ace, cross to my club queen, and play a low heart to the queen. If it holds and both follow, I'll try the heart ace, then clubs (pitching dummy's diamond).

I think, given that the lead wasn't the diamond ace, that the heart king rates to be on my left more often than not. It's very hard to quantify this, but I feel that the obvious alternative line of cashing a heart and then playing three rounds of clubs is less appealing on the lead.

who is holding the diamond cards in this hand?

East didn't dbl 2D and LHO didn't didn't lead diamonds.

This leads me to believe KJ is on my left, AQ on my right, or some similar variation.

So after the heart finesse loses I'm outta luck, cause they're cashing the A of diamonds.

I'm cashing A of spades, A of hearts, and a club to my hand for a diamond pitch. This only fails if clubs are 5-1 or 4-2 and the 2 is offside without the K to start with.

edit: This is by far the best line. If Kxx is offside we were never making this, so this only fails to 5-1 clubs

I think I'll just win the spade ace and cash 3 rounds of clubs.

If clubs are 4-2, this wins if the heart finesse is on (50%). Cashing the heart ace before the clubs wins with singleton K (~12,5%) or hearts 2-2 with K next to club short (20%). Total of cashing the ace: ~32,5%.

With clubs 3-3 any line works.
