1x=p=p=1nt
p=?

How do you play the responses of 2c or 2x or 2d or 2h or 2s or 2nt to a balancing 1nt?

A popular approach seems to be "Systems on".

Range Stayman is useful over a balancing 1N to 1M. In short:

2 is Stayman; 2x in response shows an 11-14 "standard" NT balance. 2N in response says, I have a max (15-16) and 3 asks again.

something interesting: the general convention chart would disallow this approach because your notrump overcall has a range of >5 hcp. I assume this applies to balancing NT overcalls too.

2x: does this 5-suit with a maxpass help you see 3NT? Other game?
Range ask makes some sense, but I assume partner is
looking at his top/mid/low range hand.
Do I need to tell him what to do?

What exploring is needed? Partner did not double, after all!
Do we systemically need many "I don't trust your bid, partner?"
