So it is ♠+minor ?
I bid 3♣ and try to play his minor. The way we play 2NT promises some values. Wtp ? Is there a hidden trick in this hand that i can't see?

I'd bid 3♣, perhaps a close decision at MPs, but at IMPs I think it's clear.

ask for his minor, however you do that
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I'd actually pass. Certainly we could be better off in 3m. However, the issue is more that I'm afraid of getting cracked. We are not doubled, so I'm passing.

It's like Cappaletti but with the meanings of the 2♣ & 2♦ bids exchanged.
So, 2♠ shows ♠ & a minor

Usually with the addition that spades are at least 5 and the minor at least 4.
I am with Adam. I would pass and look happy. If we get doubled, I will redouble (SOS). This will tell partner to bid his minor, but seriously consider hearts too. Therefore, with three hearts he will bid 3♥ and with 2 he might. If I wanted partner to bid his minor without inviting him to bid hearts, I would bid 2NT (after the double).

Partner probably had 8xxxx, Kxx, AKJx, x, and hearts split 2-2, right? I'm not gonna find hearts when it's right after this start.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Y'all persuaded me.
I change to pass is a better bid, with SOS redouble if penX comes.
