I was playing "#3317 Pairs Smile with me" and I suddenly realized that I could see all 4 hands when I was dummy. That didn't happen to my pd, who could only see his and my hands when dummy himself. But he told me he had experienced this once.
How frequently this happens? Is it just a malfunction? It's the 1st time it happens to me.
Can I know when this is happening to my opps? Sometimes I've noticed that opps have an unbelievable insight of my hand...

it is not a malfunction!! It is an option for when you are dummy that I prefer to turnoff so I am more unlikely to second guess partner's play. Still it is a good thing that monitor glass is highly scream resistant [I play with a lot of pickup pards] and none of the loud YFI's has broken my screen yet :)

I think this is an option in the Main Bridge and in the Relaxed but not in Tournaments. I tried to set it again today and there is no way I can see the hands.. except... when some "wise" player claims from the begining of the hand and then his pd can see all 4 hands (if he is declarer)... but there was no way to repeat the situation. I think this ocassionally happens because of some bug in the soft.

I think you, or who set the tourney, was using the old version. In the create tourney window there is an option "kibitz partner as dummy". Uncheck that checkbox and you'll see all hands as dummy, not just partner's. Your partner was probably on the new version, where this option is not available. That's probably why he could not see all hands as dummy while you could.

Both tourney and personal option.

If both allow it, you see 4 hands.

If either disallows it, you see 2.
