Found Mike Lawrence's answers. He plays that X is penalty for opener's suit rebid except for 1m-1N, 2m (presumed fit I think) so...

1C P 1D P 2C X is penalty
1C P 1D X 2C X is penalty
1S P 1N X 2S X is penalty
1D P 1N P 2D X is takeout

I've read his Takeout Doubles book before so I must have remembered his logic from that.
