In tempo after a jump bid being after 10 seconds, right?

I am fine with 5H, but I've been wrong before.

5 not sure if in tempo or not. I guess not. Because it can make, because we have 0-1 spade tricks and maybe 1 diamond ruff to beat 4 and this might just be a big double fit.

Partner is not going to pass out 4 imo. You would really need little for it to be right for him to bid, like Qxxx xx Axxx Jxx.

Yes Jilly, it is, however not an immediate 5H bid by responder. As Josh points out, this hand would NOT pass out 4S.

Well, it did happen at one table, 4 was indeed passed out.
The othe table played in 5, I don't know how they got there.

In my opinion, this is such an obvious bid over 4S that you could even justify it had partner hesitated.

IMO 5 = 10, _P = 9, _X = 4.
IMO: You should not define Michaels as "weak or strong". Nor should it be a generous gesture to opponents to help them declare double-dummy. Both Michaels and Unusual Notrump should express a strong desire to play the hand at the prevailing form of scoring and vulnerability. Here pass is OK too and

partner should rebid 4N with the hand actually held.

Just because 5 is a fine result doesn't mean YOU will have to bid it immediately. Doesn't partner get to take another bid? How would you feel if you bid 5 and partner raises to 6, only to find being -1?

Pass... too rich for me at the 5 level

ps Although I accept, if pd has hearts and clubs we may be looking at a double swing! Well done to East for bidding 4S.
