Jassem published the book "WJ 2010" in April this year. Yet I couldn´t find any informations about changes compared to the 2005 version in English. Since I really enjoy playing polish club with some partners on BBO, although I don´t speak polish, I´d be really interested in those. Any informations, for example by polish speaking posters, would be appreciated. Is there a plan that his book is going to be translated, by the way?

Thank you in advance

I don't have the book. Jassem usually publish short summary of the system in both Polish and English. I have no idea if there is something like that available for wj2010 though.

I could not find any information about planned english edition at the relevant polish bridge sites, at this time, but regarding the success of the WJ2005 translation...it will be surely published soon.
I don't play WJ, so I am not able to write detailed about changes compared to the WJ2005.
Generally, this book contains two different versions of the WJ2010>>>
WJ2010 Standard >>> the changes there resulting from the large poll Mr Jassem has made among polish bridge players, this version is more directed to the people who play usually or often with random partner. There is elaborate section about bidding at the slam level, with a lot of hands and problems prepared by Mr Martens

WJ2010 Pro >>> more for established partnerships, further developmet of the WJ2005, considering modern methods in international bridge and including exclusively ideas of the author...like more agressive openings in majors, various kinds of transfers etc etc.

Is there anything new on that subject one year later? Looking around I found somes notes in Polish, which seem to imply that 1D is again 5crd or 4441, and that the ranges of the (possibly) balanced responses to 1C (1D, 2N, 3N) have moved again (2N=invite, 3N=13-15 flat)? But more information would definitely be welcome.

Perhaps you can ask Daniel J. Neill if there are any new developments, he has translated WJ2005 into English and he has a website with all sorts of bidding systems. Or you can try to convince him to translate WJ2010. ;)

It's easy enough to navigate jassem.pl with google translate. He doesn't have details about the system, but you can buy it as a (Polish) e-book.

Google translate now works with pdf's. For example, he has a free excerpt on slam bidding from the WJ 2010 book here. Put it in as a webpage to google translate and it's mostly understandable. It loses the suit symbols, but you can follow along with the original Polish version for those.

I didn't attempt buying the book and seeing if I could get google translate to work with it (I guess there would be multiple hurdles to overcome for that to be successful).

One other somewhat useful thing is that you can take the WJ 2010 poll here. You have to sign up (standard sort of free sign up with e-mail deal) first, but then there's the full list of poll questions. It's in polish, but copying and pasting the text (not website as you need to be signed in) to google translate makes it mostly understandable. You can see how people voted and read comments after voting. Unfortunately, it seems you have to vote to see the poll numbers and comments. I only did one since I felt bad about skewing their poll.

You can't copy-paste from an ebook (at least you are not supposed to). However you can take a screenshot to free-ocr.

Daniel told me he has no plans to translate WJ2010. One can hope this will change, but as of now .. study your Polish.

Jassem told me he has no plans to translate it, he doesn't like how english WJ2005 sold.

Citing no real interest in America (as they can't play it as per the book).

(I asked him at the European in June)
