I know there's an email address to raise these issues through, but I've emailed it previously several times and not got a reply.

Soooo, I was playing a BBO tournament today - I hadn't said anything, I hadn't got a colourful profile, I got to hand 3 or 4 and got kicked from BBO and given a 24 hour ban.

My username is wank. Can someone investigate? thanks.

As an aside, perhaps in future, it would be considered more reasonable to inform the member why he was banned, at the time of banning.

edit: 24 hours, not 2

Perhaps it's your username which is a potentially offensive colloquial term for masturbation; but usually only in contexts such as "having a wank" or "you are a wanker".
Disclaimer: The above post may be a half-baked sarcastic rant intended to stimulate discussion and it does not necessarily coincide with my own views on this topic.
I bidding the suit below the suit I'm actually showing not to be described as a "transfer" for the benefit of people unfamiliar with the concept of a transfer

agree with mrdct it is the most likely cause even though perhaps the 'booting' should be done immediately by the host/td

if in fact the reason for the ban is his screen name. that meaning only happens in the english languange, so if a ban is to take place based on screen name the player should be approached first

i recall findimg once a player from a far east country whose screen name meant , in my native language, asshole.

i pointed it out to some fellow countrymen and we had a a good laugh.

thing is the screen name was the players last name, so i spotted a couple more people with the same name followed by numbers

so in fact there are a lot of assholes out there

Babalu just wanted a shoulder to cry on, is that too much to ask for?

This is not the right place to ask.

Send an e-mail to abuse@bridgebase.com

Ban reasons are not disclosed publicly. Nor discussed publicly either.

Closing the thread.

(Edit: Gerardo, to clarify)
