A friend and I have been working on this goofy (possibly terrible) club system that is fully ACBL GCC legal except it uses a modified KI over 1♥ (and of course we may want to use it sometime). The relevant structure is as follows:
1♥: 10-14, exactly 4 hearts, unbalanced, longer second suit unless 4x1.
.....1♠: 0-3 spades, f1rd
..........1NT: 5+ spades unless 4414 or 4441
..........2♣: 5+ clubs unless 1444
..........2♦: 5+ diamonds
..........Higher bids forms of maxes
.....1NT: 4+ spades, f1rd
..........Natural responses
Simply switching 1♠ and 1NT responses is kinda ugly since we'll miss 5-3 spade fits pretty often (in case you were wondering, 1♠ openers are also EXACTLY 4 spades). Also, I don't think having 1♠ responses being 3+ in length is GCC legal? Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone has run into this problem before or if there are any suggestions for it.

I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Hi:
Americans used reverse Flannery when they played a version of Blue Team Club.
You will not miss any 5-3 spade fits if you open a Reverse Flannery bid
bid showing 10-14 and 5S and 4H.
You might want to avoid ACBL play since their rulings can be sillly/plain wrong.
A recent Bridge World editorial comments on ACBL legal rulings used the phrase 'threading the Labyrinth' and also mentioning that there are 'many errors'
in a guide for giving rulings(Duplicate Decisions)
BBO allows you to pretty much play what you like.
Several decades ago, I did play a Forcing Pass Canape system. 2C covered the 4441 shapes and Roman style 2D/H/S showed the longer main suit plus clubs.
1C* was the 0-9HCP fert., a 10-12 1NT and Pass was 13+ balanced or 16+ any.
We were told to 'ask' each pair before we played the system. If they declined, we played 'gasp' Precision. Most people did agree and general laughter occured whenever we opened with 'Pass' and we alerted.
The extra step after partner opened with a 0-9HCP 1C* or replied to "Pass" with a 0-9 1C* was a nice feature.
Regards,
Robert

You could play 1♥-1NT-2♥ as 5♠-4♥. This way you're not placed worse than anyone else...

What i play is
1H----1S (relay)
1Nt = clubs (12-14 or 18+)
2C = diamonds(12-14 or 18+)
2D = hearts 12-14 or 18+
2H = 5H+4S 12-14

From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."
