When I click on an item in the News window using the Windows client, it brings up Internet Explorer (after the usual half-hour wait for that behemoth to load) regardless of the fact that my default browser is Mozilla Firefox. Is there anything I can do about this on my side? or does it need a fix on your side? (not asking for one - just curious).

And sealed the Law by vote,
It little matters what they thought -
We hang for what they wrote.

There is a file named bbover.ini in BBO directory.

In there, there is a line BROWSER_TYPE= something. Put an E (for External).

I think it should work, but not sure.

We embed the IE browser in the popup that hosts the news articles. So when u click on an item, it naturally launches another instance of IE.

Changing browser_type=E will solve this in a sense but the price you will pay is that you lose the ability to embed IE windows in popups . I think you're better off living with the beast.
