They open all 11s at this vul in first seat, righty is soundish but she can definitely be frisky (wide or heavy) in third. Partner reopens semi-aggressively with a stiff spade, but not as aggressively as me, I would say they are slightly above average. With a doubleton spade they're probably conservative, especially if it's Hx. You open most 11s usually, but red/white second seat you pass the worst say 25 % of balanced 11s. You play leb if you X.

edit: Also sorry if the thread title is offensive, I posted it without thinking of a previous discussion on this forum, it was not meant as sexist and is just a phrase that you often use without thinking of where it came from. Mod feel free to change it.

Sure, 2NT. Not particularly worried about their running spades. If partner has values + singleton spade, he rates to have four hearts so we can play 4♥.

I like 2NT. If partner has a doubleton without 4 hearts, it is probably the right strain and will get us to the right level, and if he has a singleton, he will probably find another.
Not sure whether that makes me a woman or a cat though.

I like the 2NT suggestion, but I think I would have doubled. Passing is for erm, passers.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I don't even think 2NT is particularly manning up. 9xxx would be.

FWIW, I see nothing offensive about your title. It's like "Man overboard" or other similar phrases that I should HOPE we are not going to dilute into nonsense.

Pass, PD having passed, game is odds against. PD might also have the chance to reopen with D. Furthermore, RHO might have a considerable values, after all RHO supposed to have great freedom in this position.
If I have made this specific agreement, then I will keep the agreement.
A partner can convince me to play nearly anything, but if partner breaks agreements, then you will fairly fast reach the point, that I wont be interested in playing any longer. Stick to your agreements.

Double. Intuitively it seems right to express the relative suit suitability of this hand. I'm not sure we'll get to 4H if partner has x,K9x,xxxxx,Axxx (though we might), but the example supports the idea of emphasizing suit play with a double. (Even if the spade x is J,Q, or K it looks better to play in hearts.)

2NT. Other decisions result in sets also, sometimes.

How about 3H? Suit quality is good and pd rates to have some fit. Dummy wont be overruffed....

I would definitely bid 2NT.
If they can cash spades, then so be it...it's not always the case that they lead spades from Qx, say, and they might be blocked on a good day.

You do only have 4. And if partner has a heart fit, then he/she can use stayman..

Compared to 2 NT this may get us too high, but it has more chances to find the right strain.

Agree and I don't understand all the conundrum about ♥s. If partner has a GF with 4♥s won't he bid 3♠?
