Scoring: IMP

You decide to open 2 for once.

2-2 showing an ace and a king, not in the same suit
3-3 stayman
3-4 kickback 1430 for hearts
?

Probably not going to happen, but can you increase your chances of a double?

You know partner has 1 key card so say you have 4 (4NT) then say you have the K when partner asks for the Q, then just bid the grand, hopefully leader has an ace and thinks you've had a misunderstanding :P

I bet that will increase your chances of being doubled - after your partner decides that 7NT is safer than 7.

LOL.

I have a couple of questions about the auction.

(1) Why is the weaker hand asking for key cards?

(2) Why is there a key card ask in any auction where the number of controls held is known to one of the partners?

There may be some good answers to these questions, but I don't see them. It seems that captaincy was trasnferred to responder at some point in the auction, and I don't see a good reason for that.

Just bid 7! (Plsssssss don't do this without a heart fit partner)

If it was mps I would just show my keycards, and if partner bid 5 to show them all I would bid 7NT.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

You may already have gained heavily. At the other table they might play in 7, or your teammates might come in over 2 and find a cheap save.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Or, if you start to lie, partner might correct to 7NT.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.
