I think I've become a worse poster over time since I started explaining my answers less. But just giving an opinion on the answer still has value, just not as much as an explanation to go with it. I try to explain my thinking most of the time but when something is reeeeeeally obvious or when it's a topic that has come up often before I am just not inclined to bother. Also sometimes your answer is just based on feel, and how can you explain that?
Gwnn I ♥ed rereading both those threads, thank you!

The bid or play that wins the post-mortem is a moving target. WTP?

many people say wtp when it is clearly not a wtp, the reasons for that are because they are joking, and because they wanna show that they think completelly the opposite as someone elses. This can be missleading for beginners.

I don't think there are "many people" who do that to be honest. Or maybe I'm not very perceptive.
@jdonn: it's interesting that I had bad memories of those threads but now they're just nice to read. past hostility can be funny.

One of my problems was, when I first started reading, was that I didn't know who anyone was. It's almost a secret society with the screen names. I know who a lot of people are now and it's makes reading the threads about bidding much more rewarding. It's hard to accept at face value a WTP from a complete stranger.

Forum's and Bridge Discussions, are very helpfull and interesting to all sorts of members,me included "Whoom should we trust" that will reveal itself to the reader,
I have noticed not many * players contribute, but there are quite a few good contributors, its the same as a Film or Art critic,of which there are many, one has to sort the chaff from the wheat, and selcect the one that is in tune to one's own wavelength.one can do a little research as to the contributor via their profile,
the profiles can contain a lot of info,at the same time no information, one can draw one's own conclusions...especially Private Private no system :) regards
