The bidding:

p - p - 2C* - 2H
p - p - 2S - 3C
Dbl - 3H - 5S - all pass

Partner leads the heart king which declarer ruffs.

Declarer plays the ace of spades, partner pitches a club.

Declarer lets you win a spade and you play a club, declarer winning with the ace.

Declarer lets you win another spade, partner has discarded another club and a heart. Your play?
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

looks like partner's clubs should tell me how many he's got, so that we can dedice if we are gonna need to break the squeeze or if a club is fatal cos lets the dummy make ♣K and finese ♦.

If nothing revealing I would play a club.

hmm so partner passed originally and now finds two calls over a strong opening, vulnerable? ;)

Anyway I guess a diamond now.

easy mistake --both names contain a "w".

partner really bid 2H with AKXX? I will then guess he is 0-4-2-7 and declarer Is 8-0-4-1. So, rather than give Declarer an entry in clubs and a finesse in diamonds, will just lead back a trump and wait for my diamond trick.

Partner did not, apparently, ever play the club Queen.

No competent partner would fail to play the club Queen at some stage (I'd pitch it on the first spade) with QJ109xxx...which is the holding he has if declarer has a stiff club A.

He might well also pitch the Q from QJ109xx, but then he'd have two count pitches, so I could hardly go wrong.

In any event, since he didn't pitch or follow with the Queen, declarer has a second honour. I have to break up the impending squeeze....I suspect declarer holds

AKJxxxxx void AKx AJ and partner void AK10x 10xx Q109xxx

So a club it has to be

i have trouble believing declarer would bid 5Sp instead of 4 sp with that.

general crazyness is right...but combo of the 5sp bid and partner taking a second vul call makes me stick with 0427

it's really a question of whether partner is 'crazy'....the bidding.....or 'hopeless'...the defence if he has not helped us out in clubs with QJ109xxx...I vote crazy rather than hopeless

I think mikeh is right, partner with QJ10xxxx hopefully would have let us know. He had - AKxx 10xx J10xxxx, so just general craziness.

Note that if you don't return a club, partner gets triple squeezed and has to come down to doubleton 10 of diamonds which declarer can pin.

you complicate the hand too much han, 6♠+2♦+2♣ + 2 spades losed is 12, unless my math is very wrong he will just be simple squeezed in ♥+♣
