using 5s as gsf for minors

To right-side 6NT/7NT if that might be considered?
To take some just-blast grand and some won't be otherwise persuaded from small slam?
What is traded off? Isn't 5S control-bid already suggesting grand?

I see potential, but fill in the hand types intended to gain.
