nonexpert 3C, limit+ raise of H
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I would make the bid that by our system shows my hand. I don't know how it is relevant whether partner is "best" or "worst" or "average". 3C = limit or better raise in hearts.

I would bid 6 heart if I had just one bid avaiable, so I think 4 heart is terrible.
But luckily I can bid 3 to show this hand.
I will make one more try if partners signs off.
Kind Regards

Roland

What about 5? Is that terrible choice too?

None seems to think about it but it has two good points for it.
1. It is pre-emptive when we have quite good fit.
2. We want partner to have good for slam so we could just ask about them.

PS. I would still make milder slam try using 3

How would 3 be different than X followed by #

Totally depends on your system. I use whatever shows a strong heart raise.

In Denmark 3 is standard for showing a F1-heart-raise.

I like it; Saves space when we haven't found a fit. (3 = spades, F1 or GF accordibg to agreement.)

Edit: And it is a completely obvious bid.
