I think it is clear, but I would be more worried of getting caught for 500 in 3m, than of missing a 5m game.

If you bid 2NT the best I can see realistically coming out of this is playing in 3 of a minor or defending 3♥, which looks good enough for me as I don't see us getting into a load of trouble.
The one thing that does concern me is playing in 4 of a minor, but the only way I can see that happening is if partner has no defence to 3♥, in which case 4 of a minor would be perfectly good.
