Let partner figure out which call was the psych.

What is going on here, and what's your call?

A hand for partner:

KQx
KJ98x
AK9x
A

So they open 10-counts and reply on 4. Whats new?

Still a very brave bid by partner.

I bid 4

That hand looks like a double of 2 and 3 to me.

Yes it does sounds like partner has a heart stack here but couldn't double 2. So a 2542 seems likely, with black suit stoppers, great hearts and diamonds too - Ax KQJxx AQJx Ax.

Still, there's a helluva lot of bidding going on here. RHO could be bidding 3 with a weak distributional hand of 5054 for instance.

I guess I pass.

If my partner bid like this I wouldn't even care what it is, as long as he makes it. I'd pass, so I can't be blamed for my actions.

Sure do, maybe 2-5-4-2 is more likely.

I still bid 4.
