By the way, I am also an excellent driver and navigator. I am sure that is the case because my husband always insists on driving when we are out together, I assume it is because he doesn't want to be shown up in front of our friends by my skill behind the wheel. In practice, I rarely get to demonstrate my map reading ability either because he usually does it himself. I believe that is because he doesn't want to distract me from thinking about more important things.

:)

I do not think I'm a better than average driver. I'm probably not. But I try to be a safer than average driver, which most self-rated better than average driver seldom seem to do.

Personal dislikes:

* people who try to push you off the left lane because you're doing less than 120 mph (I rarely drive faster than 90 mph).

* people who squeeze themselves between me and the car in front of me, forcing me to not keep my distance.

I doubt there are many men with shorter than average (***censored***) either.

I think there are. I once saw a survey where men and women were asked what they think the average *** length is. The men on average answered 25cm while the women said 11 cm.

That's what happens when you survey men in countries using the metric system and women using the Imperial system.. it looks as if the women confused centimeters for inches..

What kind of a man reads a map to find out where he is going? Don't most of us, relying on our genetically-bestowed innate sense of direction (harking back to our ancestors' days as fearsome hunters), simply drive around until we find our destination or run low on petrol (thus giving us an excuse to sneak into the petrol station and ask for directions when our passenger can't see or hear us)?

You forgot to mention the driver that cuts you off in his haste but then has the time to sit in front of you for a period to "show" you that you are going too slowly (the "better" ones will even start their turn-signal to show you where "your" lane is...)

btw, that is the real reason for turn-signals....not actually for when you want to turn.

Ah, and the drivers who already activate their turn signal when you are about to overtake them. I'm always scared that they haven't seen me and are about to run into me from the right.
