OK, I have to confess - somehow your wtp made me scroll and before I did I thought "what joke is he about to make about Gerber?"
Jan Martel, who should probably state that she is not speaking on behalf of the USBF, the ACBL, the WBF Systems Committee, or any member of any Systems Committee or Laws Commission.

Hehe, it reminds me of the movie Speed. To some people, any time you bid beyond 3NT without a major suit fit it's like the bus going below 50 mph, and there are too many innocent lives at stake to risk that!

If I bid 3 it is like asking for a stopper, responder can bid 3 (showing 2 cards to a honor) or 3 showing a spade but no diamond stopper. Over 3 I can bid 4, over 3, 3NT.

If the previous is just a rambling and doesn't make sense then I agree with 4.

Agree with 4, a lot of players get this kind of hand wrong and bid 3NT. 3NT can work, but it seems clear to me that we will make 3N and go down in 5 much less often than the other way around (mostly because of spades), and 4 will also get us to some slams. I would bid 3NT at matchpoints of course.

4, support with support. My hand is suit oriented. 5 is probably as good as 3NT on average, and we just might have a slam.
Kind regards,
Harald
