You play responsive X, the first X is fairly sound. (PS does most play responsive double here ?)

4D as preempt is available.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

The second hand feels like an easy & smooth pass. Sure, 6D could make, or 5D could go down 2. Let them guess.

The alternatives lead to contracts that might make, but usually won't.

on second, i pass (happy). i don't want to risk 6 and loose AK of clubs from lead. maybe partner already won the board...

2) 6♦, but anything could be right. 6♦ could depend on the lead, but so could 5, or even 7. (But bidding 7 would make it obvious to the opponents we were gambling, and would likely attract an agressive, i.e. club, lead)
By the way, I use a little unorthodox meaning for the double, namely four card heart suit, that doesn't want to play a 4-3 heart fit. Allows for partner to make the initial double with 3-card hearts and a minimum.
Edit: Typo.
Do not underestimate the power of the dark side. Or the ninth trumph.

IF I have just one pass card for both boards, I would pass board 1 and try 6 Diamond in two.

One the second, I squirm, but I think this is a fairly easy pass. If partner has more than Qx xx AKQJxxxx Qx, I will be sick to my stomach. Also, with a hand like that, it seems 1♦ is logical anyway.

BTW, depending on partner's hand, I hope I did not tank before passing .

On the first, after my pass and partner's reopening double, I bid 4♣.

6C is fair.
I slightly prefer 4C to pass but its close. if LHO bid 4S partner will need to double again (or bid 4Nt) and if LHO pass and partner X youll have to bid 5C.
On the 2nd hand ive open a questionnable 5D with

I know some will open 1D and will hate 5D but i think 5D is a slightly superior bid. I think that passing 5D is clearcut since partner need good diamond + a ♣ control wich is highly unlikely.

If pard happens to have extras, he'll probably bid again and we'll see after that.
2. Pass again. Anything from 10 to 13 tricks may be there, but we're too high to find out which. Would bid 6♦ if in bad need of points.
