The good news is that it may be a push.
The trend in bridge over the past 30 years is towards ever-increasing aggression. The result, even in or particularly in high-level bridge is minus scores that would have been avoided decades ago, that are now pushes. Of course, there is a positive flip side as well

This is also the hand from the thread: "What do you bid? And how strongly do you feel it's right?"
The board created many different results, and many swings.
I found it kind of funny, that at one table N-S would bid 2♠-4♠ without interference, while at another table, E-W would bid 2♥-4♥ without interference.
What happened at my table is a closely guarded secret.

I still think 4♠ shows a 2 suiter, but others disagree.
