If partner has a black ace in addition to his diamonds (which should be at least JTxxx) you are cold for slam. But you want to stay below 5♦.

Would you bid something other than 3♦ preemptive holding:

You should at least have picked a good example! If partner shows one keycard how do you know if it's the diamond king or a black ace?

Part of the reason why Larry and I use Turbo and denial cuebidding, is to prevent any Exclusion and Kickback accidents.
