Forget that this is even from a political advisor, since McCain would never be dumb enough to endorse this. Could any human being in or out of politics really believe what this guy says??

Wow

I have Medicare (Primary)
I have Aetna as a supplement
My doctor has just informed me that he will be joining MDVIP. For $1500 for me, and another $1500 for my wife, the really good news is that I would then be entitled to a decent once a year physical, a rather basic need that my Medicare payments and my Aetna payments do not seem to provide for.

It's not just that many are uninsured, it is that the whole system is beyond understanding. People, some of them, actually do view emergency room visits as their health care plan. For those of us who are insured, and paying substantial amounts to be insured, it is completely impossible to determine what we are entitled to. I might well vote for the first person who says "This whole system is a fucked up mess. Anything, I repeat anything, would be better than what we have now". I might not even wait to find out what s/he suggests in its place.
