Hi,

I would assume that 2S showed add. strength.
Playing with a pickup, there is one call you could have
made instead of 4C, 3C ... for most this would be FSF.

Now I would go with 6S, we have a double fit and around
30HCP, 6S should have some play.

With kind regards

I would not have bid 4C with a pickup. I would just bid 6S now since I don't want 5S to be construed as a cuebid for clubs etc. It should have some play.

i said pickup, but actually a known quantity, who's an intelligent person, just sometimes goes a little bonky at the bridge table.

I like 4C. 5C is not what I was looking to hear next. I will also leap to 6S although I have less confidence that other posters.

I'll just bid 5. If partner misinterprets, he will get the idea when I bid 6 next round. But if he passes I'm pretty happy.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

At the table I decided that there was a good chance p's 2S call showed some extras and 5C was some sort of a confused noise. I blasted 6S

rotating for convenience. you now get the S10 lead:

AQJ2 Q6x KT7xx J

K7xx AT9xx A Axx

plan the play. a couple of hints/comments below
