I am sure there would be few that would disagree with me when I say we owe a lot to hallway for her tireless efforts on our behalf.

Having just read her latest email:-

******************************************************
be deprived of the ONE and ONLY opportunity (Tuesday) that I had to play 5 (FIVE) !! uninterrupted boards each week with my Mentor. Only got to do it the once !!! I cannot play bridge and at this rate I never will :-((
******************************************************

I ask Shep to give her a special dispensation.

Come on everyone, message shep or add your name here and give hallway your support !

Nice idea Chris!!!!!
Meanwhile I have asked several times Maureen to play together but she was so busy. Hope in the near future we may play some boards or a tourney together.
Keep the BIL Maureen - it's great!!!!
Kind regards
Rado

Maureen provides the best service to her club members and her tireless efforts are truely amazing. I know she has taken on helpers...but more voluteers to allow her some free time for herself would of course be appreciated....

And maureen, get yourself one additional login name which you tell just a few people you use to escape the hectic life you are living in the BBO community. Then use this alternative alias when you want time alone with your mentor without being bothered.... sometimes you will have to take some private "maureen" time just for yourself....

Count me in.

The problem here is not that Maurenn can't play, but that she's not allowed to play with her mentor.

This rule is IMHO stupid, because Shep's tournament is NOT a tournament :). It is a help for Shep's "students" to practice the hands before the lesson, so that they can compare what they played with what Shep would play. And the fun of a non serious competition.

If people want to play in tourneys within the BIL, they can play Mink's Friday pairs tournament or join the BIL Team League.

I'm convinced that if you asked every single BIL member, a great majority would find this rule absurd :)
