Are you implying that this is a problem if you're not?

..., I would go with 3C, I am going to play game,
wont be the first time I am going down.
I may have passed the first time, but given I hold
10HCP, ... I am pretty certain I would have opened.
As it is the opponents bidding may help partner to
judge my strength correctly, espesially if you happen
to play 2NT as some kind of (reverse) good-bad.
With kind regards

you really think this is going to be passed out unless pt has lots of diamonds?
No, I think the next call is going to be 4♦, so I get to decide whether I'd rather bid clubs at the 3 level or the 5 level. One of the nice things about a 6-6 is that we're extremely likely to have a fit. Of course, they're extremely likely to have a fit too. I suspect they just found theirs (or one of theirs).
I guess I don't see how 3♣ can be an overbid. It's a four freakin' loser hand.
I also think a pass may encourage partner to overbid his 6 card spade suit. After all, the more non-spade cards I show, the fewer spades I'll have on the average.

Need to bid my 2nd suit now. I'd not be comfortable having to bid it at ther 4- or 5-level. The playing strength of this hand is immense. With only 9hcp we've got a 4-loser hand.

the full deal is not that important because it was a gouhlie . suffice it to say there was no fit for either side.
The dude I kibbed bid
1♥-p-1♠-2♦
2♥-p-3♦-p
3♥-p-3♠-p
4♥-p-6♥.

passed like a flash , and waited to collect the money
you are sadly missed john , your partnership with jonathan cansino was becoming amongst the best in the world until your 2 heart attacks and jonathan's subsequent brain tumour put an end to your careers at the highest level ,both at barely 30 years of age
