I thought it would be interesting to compile links to specific on-line bridge documents that you feel are worthy of consideration. This is not asking good general bridge websites (like www.bridgeguys.com), but rather specific webpublished book, article, etc.

I will get the ball started, for 2/1 bridge players, Fred Gitelman's three part series on "improving 2/1 game force" is a good start. This is the link the first part and there is a link at the end of each that takes you to the next. This short series is packed with really good ideas, picture jumps, lackwood, serious 3NT, last train to clarksville, etc.

Next if Robson/Segals now out of print book entitled "Partnership bidding at bridge". A PDF of this is available on line at Dan Neil's web page at the link below(sorry I can't point directly to the internal website as geocities will not let that work, you have to go through the homepage and then link the the adobe PDF document). Robson/Segal book deals with competitive auctions, concepts like the unassuming cue-bid, fit jumps in competition, different ways to support partner after opponents 1NT overcall, scrambling 2NT, takeout doubles regardless of the level of bidding, and many, many others. I think this is an absolute must read for serious bridge players, if for no other reason to have a better understanding of what these bids convey when someone uses them against you.

Eddie Kantar's 23 chapters on line opus on how to play "Kantar Roman Keycard Blackwood". If you play this your slam bidding and grand slam bidding accuracy will improve tremendously. You probably thought no one could write 23 pages on blackwood much less 23 chapters... lol. However, I can't recommend it enough (link takes you to a list of the chapters, and short summary of what is in each one. Click your way through them)

The ETM Victory complete system, which based upon weak notrump, and can be found at the link below. This very long document has a lot of innovations that you might want to add to your bidding system even if you don't adopt the system (finding a partner to play all of it is very hard).

What the pro's play by steven levy (two parts, both links given below). This is a long, well written description of a generic 2/1 GF system. I particularly like the description of the xyz convention (not called that), the levy 2♦, bergen-style raises, the many example hands, the section on how to bid when opponents double our partners 1M opening bid (also covered in much more detail in Robson/Segal above), description of reverse drury, soloway-type jumpshifts, and many more.

This list will get you started. To summarize, Fred's article is for the casual player wanting to improve, Stephen Levy's link is for someone looking for complete 2/1 notes, Robson/Segal is for anyone looking to improve their competitive bidding. Kantar RKCB and ETM victory are for the very serious bridge student looking for ideas to push the envelope of both their memory skills and for novel ideas that they might not have ever considered before.

I hope others can point us to interesting online bridge documents (not a list of ones, but ones they find important enough to share).

i Agree about the partnership bidding book, i read it once and now found it online and reading it again, its a must read for anyone who want to play bridge on a adv+ level, one of the best books and if its free then how can you not read it.

Robson/Segal's "Partnership Bidding" is by very, very far the best competitive bidding book ever written. Nothing else even comes close.

Fred's articles are very nice but outdated. Plus, they go towards a bidding philosophy I don't agree with, but ok. Sorry Fred
