Partner think that 6S is a cheap sacrifice so with my AKQx lets just say that 7S is going to be cheap too.
I don't think a pseudo lightner X will push the opps to 7H.
Im not really fond of taking insurances bids. But this seems like a clearcut case.
What is going on?

From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

7 Spade will win any post mortem. But maybe pass will win the hand.
I would bid 7 Spade on all odd days, pass on the even days. Today is the 21. so...

Scoring: IMP
4♣* -- pass - 6♥ - 6♠
pass - pass - 7♦ - pass
pass - ??
Here is the full hand. Phil was the only one who got it right as to the distribution around the table. Our "hero" in the South seat took out insurance, bid 7♠, got doubled and conceded 1100.
A pass would have yielded 1000 for down 10. The deal created many different auctions and results as one would imagine.
Table results:
7♠X -1100
7♥X +800
6♠X -800 (3 times)
6♥X +200 (2 times)
6♥X +500
6♣X +800
5♥X +200 (2 times)
4♠P -100

I get +800. I'm happy.
The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

i happen to think the 6♠ bid was dumb.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Count me in as dumb then. I would also have bid 6♠ and passed 7♦. West's 6♥ and 7♦ were crazy, but there is no law against being lucky.
