I'm not convinced that passing makes heart more likely to enter the fray all that much. I could see a lot of auctions were my next problem is whether to focus first the spades or to make a Michaels bid. I'd be inclined to end up with a 2♠ call, later, that has the same problem.
That said, let's see if I can out-do this chap as to the follow-up question. LOL
