A top?!? I know that 7NT is good when it makes...

Scoring: MP


My wife and I reached 7NT on these cards in a fairly simple auction. Eventually, partner bid simple old Blackwood, found out that I had two Aces and three Kings, and counted likely tricks. She also found out that I was balanced or semi-balanced.

No one found this one, which seemed odd.

I suppose that some folks might have some trouble in two possible starts:

1NT-2♦-2♥-3♣
1♦-1♥-3♣

The humorous theme seems to be that knowing about and focusing on the club fit may actually cause some folks to have a breakdown in communication.

Any thoughts on what went wrong elsewhere?

uhh, people suck at bridge. You granded in NT with 33 HCP in a lot of fields thats an auto top.

4♣ is RKCB. Then "2 keycards"; "I have the trump Q, do you have the ♦K?"; "Yes, and the major suit kings as well"; "I count at least 13 tricks". B)
