The link for the second half is on the same page.

An open mind is a terrible thing to waste... .....enjoy :)

So all you conspiracy theorists out there (and not JUST Winston...lol) what is the single most insidious and dangerous conspiracy used against us all in the war versus freedom and enlightenment?

The conspiracy of self delusion. Humans seem to be so optimistic and that even if we are standing on the precipice of a horrible disaster we are optimistic, extremely so. Black Swans do exist.

One small example, if you read the diaries of the French literally right before the invasion of France. Almost all felt Hitler was a temporary note in history and would soon disappear. Why spend money on a more complete defense. The prices of UK Imperial Bonds did not reflect a "war premimum" right up until the invasion. Prices do convey information.

Greatest conspiracy is to lead us to believe that government is the solution to our problems rather than the cause.

I like Todd's idea but it is not as pervasive as the worst one but it has been functional for as long as people have insisted on "governing" others.

This oppression is something that affects you actively each and every day and controls your life in even the smallest of instances and thoughts.
