3♥ - Dbl - ?


After bidding 1♠ with this hand, my partner ask for ♥ stop...i think he have some sort of long ♣ suit.

How to act now (i already bid 1♠, you cant hit me more about it).

Do you make exact what your p ask or make retratment with yourself and pass?

It is more a question of "What are the alternatives?"
Playing suppX, you know partner has at most 2, and
4C is no alternative either, i.e. 3NT.

3NT, 3♥ doesn't rate to play very well.

I play Manco here, so I'll pass to show half a stopper or a full stopper. If partner redoubles to ask, I'll rebid 3NT, showing a full stopper (playing partner or RHO to hold the ♥J).

I will pass and then bid 3NT (if possible) to show doubt about my stopper. I'm sure there are some very intricate auctions available here, but I am fairly confident that this route should be clear.
