hehe, i kibtzed this hand. I was wondering what 2N shld mean too at that time. as 1N is natural, I think 2N shold show sth weak. with a good hand, pd would dbl. Another related question, do you treat 1M-LHO OVERCALL-PD'S 3M as preempt or still limited raise? If played as limited raise, then 2N must be for minor.

Both minors with a fairly weak hand, and I don't think who is Vul has anything to do with it hehehe. And I am still waiting for my Free(e) Beer :lol:
I actually play that after pd opened and opps overcall 1 NT
2 CL = Singlesuited hand
2 D = Both majors
2 H = Hearts and a minor
2 S = Spades and a minor
2 NT = Minors
X = Penalty
Where of course pd did open one of these suits, so use r judgement on how to handle certain bids. If pd opens 1 H and they overcall 1 NT and y bid 2 SP, y better be 5-5 :D and only have 1 H. And when y support pd's suit that is just natural, except for 1 D - 1 NT - 2 D is majors, y can use 2 Cl to have pd bid 2 D which is forced and when y pass pd knows y had D.

I think this is almost standard.
A game forcing hand that can't double 1NT, usually a distributional hand, a 6-5 or similar since this is already a passed hand.
Example: KQJxx, Qxxxxx, x, x You can't open anything logical and now you can't double 1NT but want to play some game....

Are you saying that when 1H is opened that one of the suits will be hearts?

If partner was not a passed hand I would have thought a two-suiter not including hearts was standard.
