My 100th post and it's a fun one...by popular demand M-S 2NT.

As some of you know I have a disdain for generic Jacoby 2NT G/F raise because responder doesn't have enough latitude to ask opener's true hand type. Yes you get some generic answers but not strength indicators that might help responder make the best choice.

Listed below is what I use for my G/F trump raise:

1H - 2NT (1S-3C is equivalent in KLP, and steps shift one place, but in standard 2/1 1S-2NT is equivalent)

Opener's rebids:
3C - minimum
3D - no splinter, some extra values, mild slam interest
3H - OTHER major splinter, extras
3S - diamond splinter, extras
3NT - club splinter, extras
4X - 5 card suit to A or K with extras

After 1H - 2NT - 3C, 3D asks:

3H - some splinter (3S asks with splinter shown high to low) -- 4D by responder shows club splinter, slammish and 4H is club splinter, bad hand
3S - 6322
3NT - 5332, not bad for slam
4C/4D/4H, side suit, 4 carder
4M - no shortage, bad hand for slam

1M - 2NT - 3C - 3M shows slam interest opposite maximum + splinter. Splinter's shown high to low with max, otherwise, bid 4M.

After 1M - 2NT - 3D, 3H asks with opener rebidding:
3S - 6322
3NT - 5332
4C/D/H - side suit, 4 carder

Cuebids below game show interest in slam. Early signoffs are a stop bid. 3NT by either partner is serious 3NT, demanding partner make a cuebid or signoff in game and shows a hand that is not entirely unsuited for slam.

There you have it folks...hope you find it good reading :)
