Here's the question, and after the thread gets going, I'll give my comments - what is the difference between an advanced player, an expert player, and a World Class player?

"Champions aren't made in gyms, champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. " - M. Ali

Does it really matter? I have played against worldclass players on BBO that I guess forgot that there r 13 trumps in a suit. And I also have played against intermediates that really handle the cards great. I generally can tell after few hands how good a player is. And about 90% of the time it is not what there Stats say ![;)](http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

An "Advanced" player is an advanced player whio knows he's an advanced player.
An "Expert" player is an advanced player who doesn't realise he is just an advanced player.
A "World Class" player is a beginner who is having a joke.
There may be a few exceptions to this, but not many.
