called HELLO then modified CAPP plus Woolsey X must
be JELLO.
JELLO: (1N) -
X = 5m 4M
2C = diamonds or Mm two suiter
2D = both majors
2H = hearts
2S = spades
2N = both minors

I am currently using..
DBL = minor one suiter, or major two suiter
2C = clubs and a higher suit
2D = diamonds and a higher suit
2H = hearts
2S = spades.
I have been looking at:
DBL = any two or three suiter,
2C = clubs
2D = diamonds
2H = hearts
2S = spades.
Seems a little radical, but, over double, you partner bids reasonable 3 card suits up the line until you find a fit, and after 2D overcall for instance, he knows what to lead (diamonds) whereas if you bid, say 2C to show one suiter or double to show one suiter, he may have to guess what you suit is if they bid on.
I also like woolsey, so I will have to look at this jello... my favorite flavor? I don't like jello to eat, so have none...

2c = Majors
2d = 6 card major
2h = hearts and a minor
2s = spades and a minor
dbl = Multi
a) 5m and 4M

c) Both minors (can be 5/4)
Continuations after dbl are simple
2c = correct without 5 clubs.
2d = Asking bid (relay bah)
2h = suit, looking for a fit
2s = suit, looking for a fit
2n = Bid your 5+ minor please.

dbl = clubs and diamonds OR diamonds only OR pointed OR rounded (that's by far the toughest, it gets easier)
2C = diamonds and hearts OR hearts only
2D = majors OR spades only
2H = spades and clubs OR clubs only
2S = 3 suited with spades
2nt = 3 suited without spades

3-suitedness at 2S and 2N with RHO having a big
hand seems like a recipe for disaster.
Oh...while I have never got anyone to play it with me,
I still want to try inverted psycho-suction.
2C = minors or hearts
2D = reds or spades
2H = majors or clubs
2S = blacks or diamonds
2N = non-touching
Going along with my "why am I doubling 1N for penalties kick,"
maybe X could be used for non-touching.
On a general note, how effect have people found conventions
based on the guessing principle to be? Inverted psycho suction
uses the principle that the hand patterns are so different that
responder can very often guess which hand overcaller has.

X = clubs or 2-suited w/o clubs
2C = clubs + higher
2D/H/S = natural
(after X, advancer bids 2C, then pass or correct to your lowest suit -- it's just DONT but with the immediate and delayed 2D/H/S swapped)
This has the advantage of immediately naming the suit for diamonds, but without being quite as "radical" as Ben's second suggestion (which is, nonetheless, quite interesting).
How about defenses to weak NT? I've never been able to find one of those that suited me.

x = 5+D & 4M or both M
2C = 5+C 4+other
2D = single suited M
2H/S = 5+H/S 4+m
After x, 2C shows unequal length in majors (or 4+4+), 2D is pass/correct with equal length majors
or if you prefer x is penalty
2C = single suited H or 4H & 5+ other
2D = as above for S
2H/S = 5H/S 4+m

Thx
I usually play this variation:
X = Strong or 5m4M by passed hand
2C = Majors
2D = Single-suited usually a Major
2H = H + minor
2S = S + minor
2NT = minors
