I don't understand why anyone would want to switch in/out of Classic View while at a table, given that this change will have no effect until you leave the table. Why not just switch modes then?

I realize this can be confusing. Maybe I will disable the Classic View checkbox in the General tab of the Options dialog if that dialog box is opened while at a table.

It wasnt so much a matter of "wanting" to be able to do this. It was a matter of "I'm sitting here with nothing to do, lets give this thing a test drive and see what happens."

The box was available to check. I checked it. I left table. Nothing had changed. Open options panel back up, and box is unchecked. WTF? Try again. Still unchecked. Hmmmm.

In most cases, if the box can be checked, then the option should take effect even if it doesnt take effect immediately (ie, you wouldnt see result until you left table), in my experience, anyway. Otherwise, the box should not be available if the functionality for it will not work.

Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
So many experts, not enough X cards.

Thanks for clarifying, but I wasn't trying to criticize the people who tried this. I was just trying to explain the reasoning behind the design (which I agree is questionable - I am considering changing it).

When you are dummy, its a good time to click around and test things...
I dont know why anyone would actualy want to use classic mode :)

You can maximize the list of names on the main page, and in main room, you can get the largest area for the name of the players at the table. For some of us with bad eyesight, this maximize player names is something to be desired.

I prefer the new view for 90% of the time, but I do switch to the classic view occassionally for reasons other than just testing.

CALL TD Button (at least in spanish) is over the upper side of the cards.
It's a problem when LHO is the mummy because it's hard to read the symbols cards.
It can be seen, but you have to work hard to see them.

When TDing and called to a table, if I say yes, it is freezed.

Can you please send me a screen capture of the TD button problem by e-mail (fred@bridgebase.com)? This will make it easier for me to fix the problem. Let me know if you need instructions for creating a screen capture.

When you refer to "freezes" what are you seeing exactly? How do you get out of this state of affairs?

What version are you using?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
