I seem to have this happen all the time.
opps open 2 i bid 2 (CRASH)
alert button:ch or sd

opps ask for explanation
while trying to type something back in like (!C!h or !s!d)
other opp asks for explanation
causing no information available
now opps are mad say bid not explained
get the picture????

i have had it happen quite a bit when you are trying to explain further
they keep hitting button which erases any new and old explanations you are trying
to put into alert box.

any way to to just allow one explanation ask or slow it down?

I am almost certain that whilst you are typing an explanation if the other opponent clicks on the bid, he gets the response "pigpenz is answering the question" or something similar. I don't remember the exact words. So, no information available, usually comes out only when you close the box that asks you to explain.

It is only a workaround, but I still quite like the OKscript and similar utilities. It means that the explanation goes to both opponents in a private chat message, rather than being attached to the bid (I did play around with setting the focus to the bidding window without success), but it does allow for a lengthy explanation to go to opps in a single click without delay.

you can also chat directly to both opps, if this bothers you. I do sometimes, especielly if I suspect my partner forget to alert (he does sometimes, and we play an unusual club system with this partner).

Umm, I think he did alert it per OP.
It was just that the explanation "ch or sd" was a bit cryptic and prompted a further (multiple) request for explanation.
That's my reading of it, anyway

I always write in the text BEFORE I hit the bid button so they see it right away....
