If England get to the final against either Germany or Argentina, we will get a proper tear-up - so hope it happens. We haven't had a decent final for years. England-Argentina a few months ago in a friendly (not that they exist between the two) was a classic (which we won). Imagine what will happen with the World Cup at stake...

Hmm. Maybe I am biased, but I thought the final 2002 was pretty good. (Better than all the finals 1982-1990 where Germany was playing, definitely better than 1998, dunno about 1994.)

All they need is a proper opponent. So far they were simply bored by their opposition. I'd like to see them eliminated before the finals, but odds are on that they will make it.
Germany vs. England would be a terrific final. So much at stake and I'm sure that Engerrland would play a totally different game from what they've shown until now.
France would be bearable as a finalist only because that would mean that they have beaten Brazil ;-).

1994 was a shocker. 1982 wasn't too bad and it had the best goal celebration of all time - Marco Tardelli's!!

Argentina out of hope, match today is open.
Brazil, hope not, but don't see how.
Would be a very nice final though (and a first).
