For me, the World Cup is all about getting drunk in Brazlian bars...
Its just not gonna be the same.
My family is German, so I guess that i'll root for them.
On the bright side, beers is better than caprihinas

The Germans put up a good fight, but the better team won. If only Italy would play attacking football more often. However, the goals were spectacular; definitely worth waiting for.
Making it to the semi-finals was indeed a good effort by the hosts.

A goal is not guaranteed, players get tired, you have to draw the line somewhere.

What are you talking about Mike, the world does not prefer penalty kicks. Most prefer one of the teams to score before 120 minutes.
BTW, does OT stand for overtime? Is this a common abbreviation?

It does indeed, commonly used in North America. Basketball and ice hockey for example. In Europe the term "extra time" is used.

Go to the next "fan fest" and watch thousands happy people this evening cheering for Portugal, France - and Germany....
The party will be over an Sunday after the final and hopefully we all can hold on to some of the memories this exciting spectacle gave us:
-Meeting new friends from anywhere,
-hundred of thousands of football fans and no trouble.
-German people who start to talk to foreigners or other germans.
-some great games, Agrentina-IvoryCoast, Italy-Germany, France-Spain f.e.
-some great emotions. (For us winning against Poland in min 94., loosing against Italy in Min. 119, for Australia reaching the second round and loosing in min 94 with a doubtfull penalty and so on.....)
-dancing people from ghana, the invory coast or Spain.
-disputing here about football
- party party party
P.S.: We absolute deserved to reach the small final... Italy deserved more. ..
