Bug and limitations

  1. Rarely, play at a table can get messed up. This is a bug in the client program.  This is usually associated with things like alert-explanations during the play. Symptoms can be anything crazy, like being allowed to discard another suit instead of following suit.   When this happens, the best thing to do is have someone at the table claim (anything, it doesnt matter, the purpose is simply to curtail play) and then adjust the score afterwards.  This bug has been fixed - we think - in the 3.4.8 client.
  2. If the director-needed dialog is up on your screen, for some reason the CHAT window won't accept an Enter key; you have to click the CHAT button in the chat window to send the message.  This is more annoying than you'd think
  3. If both members of a team are replaced with subs late in the event, the new pair of subs may play very few boards together and win the event with a high score based on only 1 or more boards. We'll fix this at some point.
  4. In an unclocked movement, pairs that finish early can wander around BBO but if they enter another tourney table, they get stuck there until that table closes.  This has been fixed in 3.4.8
  5. The IMP/Matchpoint scores on myhands are not completely accurate; use myhands to find out what other players did on a tourney board, no more.
  6. Players who finish early in a tournament are considered to be a part of that tournament until the tournament completes play.  Until then, these players cannot play in a second tourney. They can sign up, but they will be discarded from the second tourney if the first tourney is still in play when the second one starts up.

I'm sure there are more bugs:) . Please let me know ( support@bridgebase.com ) if you find them.
