Can anyone enlightening me on the sequence 1-1-1-? in the Louk Verhees/Ricco Van Prooijen clubsystem?
I think 1 is 4+crd and forcing and how does partner respond to that?

Ultimate Canape is the system, I have been following it, but details are hard to find.

Some background: Verhees and van Prooijen play an unusual system ("Ultimate Canapé") based on a strong 1♣ opening, canapé opening bids and a lot of relays originating from the "Ultimate Club" system of the 1970's.

They bid 20 hands in The Bridge World, June and July 2012.

1 - 1 -1 = 4 or more and one round force, could have a longer minor suit.

This is similar to Match Point Precision and One Club Complete (Radin + K. Wei), and Berkowitz-Cohen's Precision.

Usual Continuations after 1:
1NT = double negative, 0-5 hcp & less than 4
2 = 5-7 hcp and 0-2, denies 5
2 = 5-7 and exactly 3 spades
2 = 5-7 and 5+
2 = 3-5 with 4+ & balanced
2NT = 5-7 with 4+ and an undisclosed singleton
3 = 6-7 hcp with 4+ and balanced hand

Ultra Relay: see Daniel's web page: https://bridgewithda...19/07/Ultra.pdf
C3: Copious Canape Club is still my favorite system. (Ultra upgraded, PM for notes)

Santa Fe Precision published 8/19. TOP3 published 11/20. Magic experiment (Science Modernized) with Lenzo. 2020: Jan Eric Larsson's Cottontail . 2020. BFUN (Bridge For the UNbalanced) 2021: Weiss Simplified (Canape & Relay). 2022: Canary Modernized, 2023-4: KOK Canape.

Thanks to ”PrecisionL” for showing interest by comment on this issue.

It seems that with even 0-2hp and 4+crd support for spades they bid 2.....or do they start with a second negative 1N?

Maybe someone know how they proceed after 1-1-1-1N (second negative)
