I voted you should give up the game, but not because you have solved it, so my vote is misleading.

I suggest giving it up, because you'll never get anyone to play your system, so you'll for ever after be frustrated......you'll always be playing a compromised method, and your frustration will tear you apart.

I know...I have invented the perfect system at least 5 times.

lol.

I'll give a serious response for some reason. Making money off of it would probably be improbable until it's proven to be a good system. So your best bet is to convince some good pairs of how good it is and get them to play it, or get good enough at bridge that you can win with it. Then write the book/blog/articles/whatever and cash in! Good luck.

One a more serious note, if you can actually prove (analytically) that you've developed the world's best bidding system, you could probably leverage this into a tenure track position at any one of a number of good universities...

More likely and probably still sufficient for getting a good position would be to find (with proof) the best bidding system for "bridge at the one- and two-levels with no doubles or redoubles." :)

Get out there and use it. Then we would have a definitive answer to the "bidding vs. declarer play importance" debate.

I am close to being able to announce my system's appearance in the forthcoming Bermuda Bowl in a multi-dollar deal. One member of the partnership was heard to say, "While most opponents carry a water pistol, and some carry AK 47s, I will now have MickyB's Death Star".

So we can blow it up by shoving torpedoes down it's hole?
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

haha, I am so bad at reading recently. Speed reading works except when something like multi-dollar comes out that is almost always multi-million dollar :P

I voted other.

Post it here so everybody can tell you that it is/isn't wonderful and then commiserate with you about not being able to play it anywhere other than about 3 events a year.

Is this the system you were practising earlier this year? If so, it has dozens of weaknesses, which I have carefully documented and will expose at the bridge table in due course.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
